The Darkness of Night
Prick your finger, it is done. The moon has just eclipsed the sun. Darkness fully pierces night, cursing stars, once so bright. Taking over inner fears, quenching needs for falling tears. Bound and trapped by sweet torment, sight is blurry, vision's bent. Future paths, so unseen, longing for a life serene. Feeling tired, so frustrated, yearning for passions, unabated. Can we conquor, is there hope? Wandering the night, can we cope? Long hours pass so the sun may rise, Shining so bright, is seems almost wise. With the presance of light, a new day is born, renewing the minds, before so worn. New thoughts and visions now abound, and now I realize that I have found life's not as cold as once I thought, when fantasies exist, and dreams are sought...
